Reviews

"This is one of those rare books and real life stories that is able to incorporate the power of love and provide you the tools and strategies to live an extraordinary life. A time to re-surface those childhood dreams and make them possible."

"Peter and Kylie lived a nightmare. And this intensely personal and private account of their battle to give their unborn child, a life, however long that may be... moved me to tears. But it's far more important than life or death. This book is about living, in the moment, and accepting whatever miracles come your way. It's an inspirational story of the power of love, and how one couple ignored medical advice to terminate, and prayed only for their baby to have the best life possible .. to take "just one breath".

"Whoever could have believed that a life force could change so many lives for the better, without even trying. It reveals the fragility of life, and the unconditional love of two parents, united in the most horrifying experience of their lives. But most importantly it shows the power of hope!"

Just a quick note to say thanks. The tools and strategies you have outlined in your story I have implemented as a part of my daily living. I now understand and appreciate the power of a word. Especially the one you give to yourself.

As a mother who has had a stillborn child....."A Son's Gift by Peter Dubiez is an intensely moving tribute to the raw courage of his wife's belief in the power of a mother's love to save the life of her unborn child. Written with simplicity and confronting aspects of honesty, this is truly an uplifting experience of life, love and hope."

Thanks for your honesty in your writing. I to understood the dilemma of your inner questioning. I felt isolated and wondered if I was the only one experiencing those inner demons. Your book provided me the skills I needed to make improvements through "baby steps". One small step in front of another. I look forward to your future books.

I must say that I am a little weary this morning after sitting up last night consumed by your book. I did the whole 'just one more chapter then sleep'...until I had read the whole book.

Your words left me moved (as always), your journey was so amazing and brutally honest. It takes a special person to be able to acknowledge their own faults whatever they may be then make changes to become a better person.

Kylie, you are an inspiration to women everywhere - to find the inner strength and postive energy to overcome such odds. I love that you both have grown together and that you have Zane to share your lives with.

My husband is looking forward to reading his copy of your book and I know it will have as much an impact on him as it did on myself.

Thankyou for sharing your story with us and giving us the gift of learning from your personal experiences.

Kindest Regards,

Dear Peter,

Thank you for sharing your amazing story amongst others. Your book is so beautifully written and the honesty makes it a very powerful and deeply moving read. My heart was touched on many levels. I was especially moved by your wife's incredible strength and unconditional love for Zane.

This book is an example for others to follow when they are in need of a miracle. I believe that miracles can happen through love, and Zane is a living and breathing example of the faith and positive thinking that you and Kylie practiced. Everyone- man, woman, young, old, with or with out children, will learn something special from your story. I can't wait to buy it, as a gift, for my friends. I have put your book up there with my most spiritual, emotional and inspirational books I have ever read. Like many gifted authors (throughout history) who have touch people on the deepest level, you are amongst them.

Best wishes and every success for the launch of your book.

Many wishes and every happiness to you and your very special family.

Warmest Regards,

CHARMAIN COSGROVE

Dear Peter,

I had to write to you after reading your book.

I couldn't put it down & literally read it in two nights (which is a big effort for me) I have to tell you that I have only ever cried, like REALLY CRIED once before when reading a book .It was Bryce Courtneys book "April Fools Day". Funily enough, also about his son.

Pete your book really moved me. I am inspired by your personal journey and loved the raw honesty in the way you wrote. I felt your pain.

I also had a life changing experience, some years ago and your story made me reflect and remember the path that I chose, which I think changed my life too.

I felt in awe of Kylies unwavering conviction and strength. I am so glad that Zane is a healthy, happy little boy. I truly believe that the energy that you guys created, gave your little man the gift of love and life. If we all lived every day that way, what a wonderfull world this would be.

The love you have for your family is beautiful. Being a new mum also, brought back a lot of emotions, good and bad. But like you and Kylie, when I was pregnant (having very different circumstances, yet a very stressfull situation on my hands) I too tried to create an atmosphere of peace, love and laughter. Our little girl Rylee is the result of that also.

I was also reminded of all the wonderfull doctors, midwives etc, who do a great job and yet never seem to recieve much gratitude. I loved your book. It has so many stories in it.

Thankyou for sharing.
